You Might Be a Redneck Blogger If:

I spend a lot of time reading blogs. My travails across the blogosphere have put me in contact with some pretty fantastic sites. Some blogs are so funny they make me giggle with glee while others tell stories of such personal tragedy that I have to read them in small segments.
Overall though, I tend to read blogs with lots of personality. Sure, reading about how to make money online is great, but if I can’t get a feel for the "man behind the curtain" I usually don’t spend too much time at the site. As such I was wondering: if I was a redneck, what would my blog look like?
After careful consideration and a couple of Long Island Iced Teas I think I’ve captured what such a site might contain. So without further ado,
You Might Be A Redneck Blogger If:
- Your avatar is a picture of Boss Hogg from the Dukes of Hazzard.
- You recently ran a Top Commenters contest at your site. The prize was a free car rental for a weekend. Your brother’s wife actually won the contest but she can’t collect the prize until she turns 16.
- When looking to start a niche internet site your keyword search contained words like "Hee-Haw", “moon pies”, and "Elvis sightings."
- Your ad affiliates are Wrangler Jeans, Lebo’s Boots, and Cooter’s General Store.
- The tag line in your header graphic reads "Possum: The Other White Meat."
- Your weekly podcast is called "Burpin’ With Bubba."
- Instead of displaying StumbleIt, Diggit, and Reddit at the bottom of each post you display ShootIt, GutIt, and StuffIt.
- You modified the "Buy Me a Beer" plugin so it now reads "Buy Me a Chaw of Skoal Chewin’ Tobaccy".
- You tried to copy John Chow’s old header graphic, but instead of showing a photo of two expensive cars your header graphic shows a photo of two double-wide trailers.
and the 10th reason you might be a redneck blogger is:
- Your most popular post is titled "How I Got Married 3 Times But Kept The Same In-Laws."

As a redneck blogger, I can officially confirm these are pretty darn funny. Nice job.
